About Western Sydney

The 2015 Chemical Proteomics will be hosted at Children's Medical Research Institute (CMRI) in Westmead, Sydney, NSW Australia. CMRI boasts a new seven level research facility that incorporates environmentally sustainable design with science functionality. Biomedical Proteomics and The ACRF Centre for Kinomics have recently relocated to this new facility, which will be the site of two pre-symposium workshops to be held on 15 January, 2015.

CMRI is located on the doorstep of Parramatta, the heart of Western Sydney. Our surroundings include the picturesque Parramatta park, the beautiful Parramatta River and Parramatta’s CBD. The CBD has a host of popular restaurants and a plentiful shops, including Westfield Shopping Centre. You can also enjoy the culture and entertainment available at the Riverside Theatre right outside the Novotel Hotel. If you wish to step out of Parramatta, there are direct trains to Sydney central, or you may decide to catch a ferry to Circular Quay and take in the amazing views of Parramatta River along the way.
