A very generous handover of $21,000 was presented by Woolworths Facilities Manager Rod Glover following the Woolworths Jeans for Genes Fun Run held in August.

The money will be donated to Children’s Medical Research Institute to support research into birth defects, genetic conditions and cancer.

It was the fourth year Woolworths have completed the Fun Run, but this year was particularly special, with more than double the participants from previous years.

Australian personal trainer, author and TV personality Michelle Bridges made a special appearance providing a warm up to the denim clad runners.

The event will run again next year.
