New fellowship for director

Children’s Medical Research Institute director Roger Reddel has been elected to the fellowship of the Australian Academy of Health and Medical Sciences and will be formally inducted at the annual meeting in Adelaide this week (October 19).

The Academy was officially launched in 2015. It aims to bring together the leading health and medical sciences minds from around Australia to provide independent advice to government, industry and the community on medical research and practice.
Fellows of the Academy need to have demonstrated leadership in medical science, achieved international recognition by their peers for excellence in their field and be committed to the advancement of health in Australia.
Roger Reddel is already a fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians.
