Finding cures for children's genetic diseases

Ks for Kids touches down in Canberra

On Sunday 1st May, hundreds of walkers braved the wet and windy conditions, and walked around Lake Burley Griffin Central Basin for our first ever Ks for Kids Canberra.
The day was a great success, despite the crazy weather, which didn’t affect the energy and enthusiasm of walkers and volunteers as they supported Children’s Medical Research Institute to beat childhood disease.
With fundraising still open, currently the event has raised over $22,000 with more donations coming in.
Huge thank you to all who helped out on the day. Special thanks to Inma Matilla and Aaron Moye who joined us to talk to the participants about the valuable research we do at the Institute.

Our next Ks for Kids event will be on Sunday 26th June at Mt Penang Gardens, Central Coast.
