About

Join us for the Denim Dinner, an annual gala dinner supporting the iconic Australian charity campaign for Children’s Medical Research Institute!

One of the highlights on the annual Jeans for Genes calendar is the glittering Denim Dinner which raises much-needed funds to beat genetic childhood diseases. This event is a rare opportunity to meet our scientists and hear about their life-changing research, as well as meet some of the special families who are directly benefiting from the work you have supported. In 2017 the theme was Stars Come Out for Research, and they certainly did. Watch the wrap video for a taste of the experience!

A Night of Excellence

The annual Denim Dinner is a fantastic way for the corporate and wider community to show its support for vital research into childhood genetic diseases.

T’was the night of nights for fundraising, and the Jeans for Genes Excellence Ball lived up to its reputation on 24th June 2016. Olympic Swimmer Daniel Kowalski did an outstanding job as our Master of Ceremonies. And we gained insights into what is takes to overcome adversity with Jeans for Genes Ambassador, Sally Obermeder and Paralympic Gold Medalist, Ellie Cole.

"I truly believe that research is the only reason we still have Linke with us today." - Linke's mother, Rene

Linke was told she wouldn’t live to see her second birthday. Medical research was the difference between life and death.
