When we understand how a gene works, we can develop treatments. We are studying five new genes using a new technology called ‘ocular organoids’, in our quest to cure genetic eye diseases.
Ocular Organoids are grown in the laboratory from patients’ cells which have been turned into eye cells. They help in our quest to understand the cause of genetic eye disease by allowing us to investigate how the affected gene works
Your gift will help us to transform our research into new treatments.
