The Children’s Medical Research Institute (CMRI) aims to gain a complete understanding of human developmental biology so we can better treat and where possible, prevent childhood illness.

Basic research is a powerful means of discovery, with the scope to break the barriers of science and find real treatments or preventions of disease.

CMRI has state of the art facilities and researchers of the highest calibre but it takes a significant investment to fund this kind of research.

Research costs are minimal compared to the amount spent each year on caring for people suffering from the diseases that CMRI is working so hard to prevent.
