Vector and Genome Engineering Facility

VGEF’s mission: To enable access to & promote the use of vector and genome engineering technologies.


The VGEF offers range of vectorology-related services, such as consulting in vector system selection, vector design, and cloning. VGEF offers custom packaging of range of viral vectors, including recombinant Adeno-Associated Viral (AAV) vectors, Lentiviral vectors (LV) and Adenoviral (Ad) vectors.
 
In addition to vector-based tools, VGEF offers custom genome-editing services, based on the latest technologies, such as CRISPR/Cas9 and TALEN, in mouse ES cells, human iPS cells, and mouse and human cell lines.
 
Furthermore, in order to stay competitive in the fast changing fields of vectorology and genome engineering, VGEF is working not only on optimizing the existing vectors and gene editing tools, but more importantly on development of novel technologies that will help move gene therapy research forward.
