Children’s Medical Research Institute Rallies for the Health of Australians
Public Rally on Tuesday, 12 April at 12.45pm
CMRI has joined forces with other Sydney based medical research institutes and the community to rally for the health of all Australians in light of planned major cuts to the National Health and Medical Research Council.
Lorimer Dods Professor and Director of the Institute Roger Reddel said, “We are taking a strong stand against anticipated Federal Government funding cuts to medical research. Many Australians owe their lives to medical research and any budget cuts will have a harmful effect on people with life threatening and genetic conditions, as well as their families.”
Hundreds of Australians are expected to attend the rally. The details are:
Date: Tuesday, 12 April
Time: 12.45pm
