The Children’s Medical Research Institute is proud to have a committed partnership with Kimberly-Clark Australia Pty Ltd.
Kimberly-Clark Australia (KCA) has been a proud supporter of the Children’s Medical Research Institute (CMRI) since 1994, most recently formalising this partnership with a three-year alliance. During this three-year alliance, KCA has contributed over $250,000 to the Institute.
KCA is best known through its consumer brands including Kleenex®, Cottonelle®, Huggies®, Wondersoft®, Viva®, [ u ] 4U! by Kotex®, Poise®, Depend® and Thick & Thirsty®. They are also a major supplier of Health Care and Industrial Products, like Kimguard® Sterile Wrap, Evolution® Packs & Gowns, Tecnol® Masks and Kleenguard® Workwear.
A major component of the partnership has been the establishment of the Kimberly-Clark Research Fellowship to support the salary of one scientist over an initial three-year period. The first recipient of this Fellowship is Dr David Loebel, a member of the Embryology Research Unit, who hopes to identify key genes involved in human development and how congenital abnormalities might occur in babies.
KCA’s support also extends to supplying the CMRI with goods in-kind, facilitating employee donations through a payroll deduction scheme, employee involvement in Jeans for Genes Day activities, as well as financial support for special projects, including the CMRI promotional video.

We’re building a long term relationship with the CMRI to increase the awareness of health issues affecting the well-being of all Australians now and in the future. It is pleasing to support an organisation that has a goal consistent with our own of ‘caring for the community’. |
