Unlucky day is a charm for CMRI

17/Oct/2017

Children’s Medical Research Institute’s Strathfield Committee held their annual Quiz Night on Friday the 13th – and was won by the team with the same name.

Committee president Cona Jones said they had more than 120 people attend the night, including a team of staff from CMRI.

On the winning team, named Friday the 13th,  was one of the Strathfield Committee’s founding members Martina Mottee who had a little bit of help from her very clever family.

They raised $6000 for CMRI on the night with a special raffle of a holiday to Narooma.

“I think that prize did particularly well for us,’’ Mrs Jones said.

In the 33-year history of the committee they have raised more than $1.7 million.
