Does CMRI conduct any clinical trials?

The Children's Medical Research Institute (CMRI) conducts fundamental research into the basic causes of disease. We do not conduct clinical trials.

Your health care provider has the best information for you regarding clinical trials. You may also consider speaking with a genetic counsellor about a specific genetic condition. There is a list of genetic counsellors by state on the website of the Centre for Genetics Education.

In Australia we are fortunate to have such a good health care system and an excellent standard of medical research. Of course the best thing of all would be to be able to prevent disease. Our philosophy is that prevention is only possible through research into the basic causes of disease.
